Participants: Harry, Amy, Preston, Ken, Nick
1. Recent intersection changes, including Masonic at Solano and Marin
On Greenway at Solano and at Marin, southbound cyclists may not know which signals to follow.
A dedicated cycling signal head was suggested — that could be expensive and time-consuming, and could raise other right-of-way concerns.
Simpler idea: sign telling bikes to follow ped signal.
Preston will engage with Discussion List and then possibly write to City on behalf of AS&R.
On Buchanan path westbound after railroad overpass, users don’t know to stay right to avoid crossing on-ramp.
Existing sign “Alternate path beneath freeway” is hard to see: people’s gaze is focused westward (left).
Need new sign on railing to west (left) of path, advising people to head right (north).
Preston will investigate asking Caltrans for official sign.
Consider guerrilla signage.
2. Stroll wrap-up
3. Albany Street Lighting Workshop
Amy requests focus on lighting for sidewalks and off-street paths.
4. Active Transportation Plan Update
Coming soon? Not scheduled at Council yet, maybe November.
Hope to collect better data about where improvements are needed.

5. BVP racks program update
We now have old Rich City Rides racks, but no good place to store them — we could offer them to another group.
Lots of demand for other groups to rent our racks — it’s getting hard to keep the schedule straight — Ken will explore setting up a Google Sheet to track rental dates.
Ken suggests purchasing a few more “Moved By Bikes” racks at discounted non-profit rate.
Harry requests a policy for when to offer discounts or freebies when loaning out racks — policy: no discounts; freebies only for active-transportation-related groups that can identify AS&R as a sponsor — Mountain Bike Team counts as active-transportation-related.
We’d like to offer volunteers to run BVP in more cases, not just racks — AHS MBT is not always available — someday, we can ask Ben of AHS MBT if other local MBTs might be interested.
6. Local leaders call
